High School Academic Program
The Eagle Ridge International educational homestay program is a 10 month high school instructional program beginning August 1 and ending May 31. Fees for the program include enrollment fees, program fees (tuition), and homestay fees (room and board).
A $100 nonrefundable application fee is due at the time the application is filed. Enrollment, program and homestay fees are due in full prior to the time the student leaves for the United States or no later than July 1.
Application Fee: $100.00 (nonrefundable)
Enrollment Fee: $250.00 (nonrefundable)
Program Fees: $18,600.00 (tuition and homestay fees)
ESL Testing Fee: $250.00 (if applicable)
Transportation Fee: $100.00 (if applicable)
The $100 application fee is nonrefundable. Program and homestay fees will be refunded on the following basis provided all terms for a refund are met. (See Withdrawl Protections and Refunds)
Amounts paid in excess of the amount stipulated in the Withdrawl and Refund Policy will be refunded provided all school owned books, equipment, uniforms, etc. are returned in good condition and student has not violated any of the rules of attendance that would void them of the right to a refund.
Refunds will be processed on the 15th day of the month following the student's withdrawal. Any unpaid bills credited to the student's account will be deducted from the amount to be returned. Refunds will be wired to the student's account.
ESL SUMMER & CULTURAL PROGRAM COST: The ESL Summer and Cultural Program includes three phases. Students may enroll for one, two or three sessions. All sessions consist of four weeks of intensive training in English as well as cultural experiences that will aid the student in improving their fluency. The cost for each session is as follows:

*The Cultural Trips are part of the Homestay expense, which includes travel, meals and lodging expenses. Incidental purchases will be the responsibility of the student.
TESTING FEES
ESL testing fees will apply to all students that come from a country that does not have English as their primary language. Initial testing will be done upon arrival for all students enrolling in the Summer ESL program.
Students enrolling in the Two-Semester Academic Homestay Program will be tested prior to the start of school to determine their placement and the amount of extra assistance they will need to successfully complete their studies.
Non-fluent students enrolled in the Academic Program will be assessed in their English Proficiency by using an ESL test, along with the two essays each student provides Eagle Ridge International. Also, all Summer ESL students will be expected to pay the $250 testing fee with their ESL program and Homestay Fees.
HEALTH INSURANCE COSTS
All students must provide proof of medical insurance before coming to the United States. It is suggested that students enroll in the Medex Insurance program at their website http://www.medexassist.com. It provides both medical and personal loss insurance at a reasonable rate.
PAYMENT PROCEDURES
Application Fees may be paid online by using Mastercard or Visa. All other fees, including Program Fees and Homestay Fees, can be paid by wire transfers through our office at (573) 339-1811.
All Program and Homestay Fees and ESL Testing Fees (if applicable) must be paid in FULL before the student leaves for the United States. Since the Two-Semester Academic program begins August 1, all Program and Homestay Fees should be paid in full no later than July 1.
Students unable to secure a roundtrip airfare at the time of departure from their home country must place funds for a departure ticket in escrow with Eagle Ridge International before arriving in the United States. This money will be held in escrow for the purchase of the student's return ticket. Money in excess of that amount will be refunded to the student.
Students without sufficient means (return trip ticket or money in escrow) for returning home will NOT be allowed to enroll in the program.
TRAVEL COSTS
All students are responsible for their own travel costs to and from the United States. However, Eagle Ridge International can help with travel plans if necessary. Destination cities and airports will be included in the student information packet, which the student receives after having paid the Application Fee and receiving the Letter of Acknowledgement.
School coordinators will pick students up at the airport and transport them to their designated homestay if necessary. Cost for travel from the airport to the homestay is not included in the program fees. The transportation fee is $100 and must be paid prior to arrival in the United States.
ADDITIONAL COSTS
SEVIS I-901 Fee (Student and Exchange Visitor Program)
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
International students must pay a $100 fee to SEVIS (http://www.fmjfee.com/index.jhtml). This fee supports the cost of the computer system used to record your stay in the United States. All SEVIS fees must be paid at least three days prior to your visa interview.
Visa Fee
Students must also pay a $100 visa application fee at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your country or at the bank that the Embassy designates. The U.S. Embassy website in your country will provide specific information about the payment of this fee (http://www.usembassy.gov).
Transportation
Transportation to and from the United States is the responsibility of the student. The Eagle Ridge International Director of Admissions will assist the student in flight planning, designating the airport closest to the school and home-stay sight. Transportation from the airport to the home-stay is the responsibility of CHIPS-USA and will be arranged by the central office.
Incidental Expenses
Students will need cash for food and drinks while in transit from their home country to the United States.
Students will also need cash for personal items (shampoo, makeup, etc.), entertainment (movies, plays, eating out), and general spending while in the United States.
Additional monies will also be necessary if students desire to take private lessons of any type (music, art, dance etc.).
WITHDRAWAL PROTECTIONS AND REFUNDS
Please read the following refund policies carefully. It is the desire of Eagle Ridge International for all students to successfully complete the academic program provided. However, if the situation arises where a student is unable to complete the program, the following rules will apply.
All application fees are non-refundable.
If the request for an F-1 Visa is denied by United States Department of Immigration and Naturalization, the total school and homestay fee paid is refundable less $500 administrative costs. If a student cancels before the program begins, 80 percent of the school and homestay fee paid is refundable. If a student leaves the program within 30 days of its beginning, 50 percent of the school and homestay fee paid is refundable. After 30 days OR in the event of being required to leave the program because of faulty documents, failure to obey program rules, or being charged with a criminal act in the United States, no refund is provided.
